An RHP 7012ETDULP4 super precision angular contact ball bearing set, supplied as a universally matchable duplex pair. Bore 60 mm, outside diameter 95 mm, width 18 mm per bearing, giving 36 mm of total width across the mounted pair. One row of balls per bearing, open on both faces, with a machined laminated phenolic cage guided on the outer ring.
Three designation schemes appear on this carton and all three agree. In the RHP main scheme, 7012-E-T-DUL-P4 gives a 25° contact angle from the E, a machined laminated phenolic cage from the T, a universally matchable duplex pair at light preload from DUL, and ABEC 7 precision from P4. In the RHP B-series scheme, B7012-X3-TA-DUL-EP7 gives the same 25° angle from X3 and the same ABEC 7 class from EP7. The Fafnir number 3MM9112WI-CR-DUL confirms the 25° angle through its 3MM prefix, and its 9112 base decodes to the ISO 7012 envelope.
Contact angle is the main trade-off in this family. At 25° the bearing carries substantially more thrust than a 15° bearing on the same envelope and provides greater axial stiffness, at the cost of some speed capability. That makes 25° the usual choice where a spindle sees heavy axial cutting loads or where axial deflection has to be held tight. Dynamic capacity is 24.1 kN and static capacity 22.8 kN, with a limiting speed of 12,000 rpm. The laminated phenolic cage is light and quiet, suits oil mist and jet lubrication, and being outer-ring guided it stays stable at speed.
Two bearings, supplied as a matched universal set. Universal matchability means the pair reaches its specified light preload when clamped together back-to-back, face-to-face or in tandem, with no shims or ground spacers required. Light preload favours speed and low heat generation over maximum stiffness. Being preloaded, the set carries no radial internal clearance value.
The bore is straight and mounts directly onto a cylindrical shaft seat, with no taper and no adapter sleeve. Preload comes from the ground ring faces of the matched pair, so both rings are clamped solidly against the shaft shoulder and the housing abutment. Laminated phenolic cages absorb moisture and are best left in the sealed carton until fitting.
SKF 7012 ACDGA/P4A is an equivalent on all counts: the AC gives the same 25° angle and the DGA gives the same light preload. Fafnir 3MM9112WI-CR-DUL is the same bearing in the Fafnir scheme. NSK 7012A5TYNSULP4 shares the 25° angle through its A5 code, but is supplied as a universal single rather than a matched pair and uses a polyamide cage, so it differs in both configuration and cage material. A 7012 marked C in the RHP scheme or 2MM in the Fafnir scheme is the 15° version on the same envelope, which is a related size rather than an interchange.
