Product Description

Part-number note

Honeywell’s own model number for this product carries a DC2 prefix – DC2001-0-0000-0000-00-0112 – while UDC2000 Mini-Pro is the family name printed on the wiring label and used throughout the literature. This listing has historically merged the two as “UDC2001”. All three forms are indexed here so any of them will find the page.

What the photographs show

A 1/4 DIN panel-mount controller with the teal elastomer bezel, Honeywell logo, ALM and OUT status indicators to the left of the display and PV to the right, and a keypad marked FUNC, DISP, RESET and SET UP plus raise and lower keys, with the two remaining key positions blank. The top of the case carries the original UDC 2000 EXTERNAL WIRING diagram label. On a fully-optioned UDC2000 those two blank positions are AUTO TUNE and RUN/HOLD, so the physical keypad on this unit is consistent with a base configuration – without Accutune II or setpoint-ramp/soak programming. Treat that as an observation from the photographs, not as a decode of the model number.

Series specification (Honeywell UDC2000 Mini-Pro, spec sheet 51-52-03-08):
Universal input. Field-selectable via internal switch positions and keyboard selections: thermocouple types B, E, E(low), J, J(low), K, K(low), Nicrosil-Nisil, NiNiMoly (N), R, S, T, T(low) and W5W26; 100 ohm platinum RTD (IEC) and 100 ohm Pt (low); Radiamatic RH; and linear 4-20 mA, 0-10 mV, 0-100 mV, 0-1 V, 0-5 V, 1-5 V, 0-10 V. That breadth is the whole point of a “universal” controller – one spare covers a J-type oven, a K-type furnace and a 4-20 mA pressure loop.Accuracy 0.3% of span typical, 14-bit resolution, temperature stability 0.8% per 50 F (28 C) change. Inputs sampled three times per second with a configurable 0-120 second digital filter.Sensor break protection configurable upscale or downscale, with a configurable 0-100% failsafe output level – the setting that decides whether a broken thermocouple drives your heater to full or to zero. Get it right before commissioning.Control algorithms: On-Off (0-100% adjustable hysteresis), PID-A, PD with manual reset, and three-position step control.Accutune II single-button autotune (on models so equipped) plus fuzzy-logic overshoot suppression that temporarily modifies controller response without altering the PID constants – it lets you tune aggressively and still avoid overshoot on setpoint changes.Output options per model: 4-20 mA current (0-750 ohm load, 0.5% FS, 3.2 mA minimum), electromechanical relay (5 A at 120 V AC / 30 V DC, 2.5 A at 240 V AC, NO or NC by jumper), solid-state triac relay (1.0 A at 25 C), or open collector (20 mA sink, internally powered at 34 V DC).Power: 6 VA. 120 V AC or 240 V AC selected by a jumper that is set at the factory but can be changed by the user – genuinely useful on a spare, because one unit covers either supply. Rated 102-132 V or 204-264 V, 48-52 / 58-62 Hz.Enclosure: front panel meets NEMA 3 and IEC IP65 (hose-down); the terminals are IP00 and must be enclosed within the panel. 1/4 DIN cutout 92 mm (3.622 in) square, 4.19 in deep behind the panel, 2.2 lb.Environment: 15-55 C rated, 0-55 C operative limits, 10-90% RH. Non-volatile EEPROM retains configuration through power loss; keyboard lockout available by configuration.CE marked to 73/23/EEC and 89/336/EEC; UL recognised component; FM, CSA, TUV and VDE approvals were available as options.

Specification deliberately left blank

The exact output type, relay count, optional input, display and software options for this specific model number are not stated. Honeywell’s full decode lives in Model Selection Guide 51-51-16-33, which is not in the spec sheet, and guessing the output configuration on a controller is how a buyer ends up with a current output where they needed a relay. The keypad observation above is a strong hint at a base build, but if the output type is critical, ask and the unit’s own model label can be read off the case before shipping.

Fitting notes

The chassis is a plug-in module inside a 4.2 in deep case – all power, input and output wiring lands on 6-32 screw terminals on the rear terminal panel, so the controller itself can be swapped from the front without disturbing the field wiring. That is the practical reason to hold a spare. Check the power jumper matches your supply before energising.

Obsolescence

The UDC2000 Mini-Pro is long discontinued; Honeywell’s later UDC family (UDC2500, UDC2800 and the current ranges) covers the same duties but with different cutouts, terminal layouts and configuration menus. For an installed panel with an existing cutout and terminal harness, a new-old-stock UDC2000 is the drop-in answer and a modern controller is a rebuild.

Quantity

One controller with its original external-wiring label, as photographed. New old stock; no mounting brackets, gasket, sensor or documentation included.
