Product Description

What this part is:

Moeller Z00-0,4 is a three-pole bimetal thermal overload relay, tripping class 10, with an adjustable current dial covering 0.24 to 0.40 A. It has one normally open and one normally closed auxiliary contact, a hand/auto reset selector, a reset button and a test/OFF button. It provides motor overload protection only. Unit Quantity: 1 Pc, relay only.

Decoding the designation:

Z — Moeller thermal overload relay.

00 — frame size for contactors DIL00M, DIL00AM, DIL0M and DIL0AM.

0,4 — upper limit of the setting range in amps, written with a European decimal comma; Z00-0.4 in North America.

Specifications:

Poles: 3. Setting Range: 0.24 to 0.40 A. Trip Point: 125% of dial setting. Tripping Class: 10. Rated Main-Circuit Voltage: 600 V AC. Auxiliary Contacts: 1 normally open and 1 normally closed. Single-phasing sensitive. Temperature compensated. Maximum Short-Circuit Protection: 15 A fuse or 25 A circuit breaker at 600 V AC. Ambient Temperature: −25 to +50 °C open, −25 to +40 °C enclosed. Degree of Protection: IP20. Main Terminal Capacity: 18 to 14 AWG. Standards: UL, CSA, IEC/EN 60947, CE, DIN VDE 0660.

Dimensions and mounting:

Dimensions with EZ00 base: 45 mm wide x 85 mm high x 73 mm deep. The relay clips onto the load side of a DIL00M, DIL00AM, DIL0M or DIL0AM contactor, or mounts separately on an EZ00 base. Minimum spacing between side-by-side relays: 5 mm. Heat loss in current paths: 2.5 W at minimum setting, 6 W at maximum setting.

Compatibility and replacement:

Moeller ZE-0.4 covers the same 0.24 to 0.40 A band; it mounts on a contactor only, with no separate-mounting base, and its circuit-breaker short-circuit protection is limited to 480 V AC. Z00-0.24 and Z00-0.6 are the adjacent setting bands in the Z00 range. Z1, Z4, Z5 and ZW7 are larger frames for larger contactors.

Frequently asked questions:

What current range does the Z00-0,4 cover?

The adjustable dial covers 0.24 to 0.40 A, and the relay trips at 125% of the dial setting.

Which contactors does the Z00-0,4 mount on?

Moeller DIL00M, DIL00AM, DIL0M and DIL0AM contactors, or separately on an EZ00 base.

What short-circuit protection does the Z00-0,4 use?

A maximum 15 A fuse or 25 A circuit breaker at 600 V AC.
