Regenerative — returns braking energy to the mains, so no braking resistor is normally used. 7-segment alarm display on front panel. PSM-30 (A06B-6087-H130) is the 35 kW related size, not an equivalent. |

Fanuc A06B-6087-H115, the Alpha series Power Supply Module model PSM-15. In a Fanuc Alpha drive rack this is the front-end converter, not a servo amplifier. It rectifies incoming three-phase mains into the common DC bus, and supplies the 24 V DC control voltage, that the servo amplifier modules (SVM) and spindle amplifier modules (SPM) beside it draw from. The amplifiers turn that DC into motor current; the PSM does not drive a motor itself. Fanuc built these in Japan; units are also labelled as GE Fanuc, which reflects the sales channel rather than a different manufacturer.
A06B – Fanuc servo and spindle products (drives, amplifiers, power supplies)6087 – the Alpha PSM power supply module familyH115 – the size within that family: PSM-15, 17.5 kW class
Suffixed forms mean build or service history rather than a different rating: -R and #R denote a unit refurbished by Fanuc; #RS, #A, #CE and #EM appear on regional and CE builds. All are the same PSM-15.

At 17.5 kW the PSM-15 is the mid-range Alpha power supply, and it is one of the most widely fitted — it appears on thousands of machine tools driving a combination of smaller Alpha servo axes plus a modest spindle. Sizing is the point to get right: the PSM must cover the sum of what all amplifiers on the bus draw simultaneously, not the largest single amplifier. An undersized PSM will pass a static test and then trip during heavy simultaneous acceleration or a hard spindle ramp.
The 63 A figure is input current at 200 V, so size upstream protection and cabling for that. The input is three phase only; there is no single-phase option, and a 400 V supply needs either a different module or a transformer.
The Alpha PSM is a regenerative front end: on deceleration the amplifiers push energy back into the DC bus and the PSM returns it to the mains rather than dissipating it as heat. That is why an Alpha system normally has no braking resistor, and why supply quality matters — the module needs a healthy three-phase mains to regenerate into. A weak or distorted supply shows up as PSM alarms.
Before condemning a PSM, read the 7-segment display on the front and check the code against the Alpha power module alarm list. A large share of apparent PSM failures are actually DC bus, amplifier or supply-side faults that the PSM is simply reporting, and swapping the power supply will not fix those.
Power supply module only, as pictured. This listing does not include servo amplifier modules (SVM) or spindle amplifier modules (SPM); DC bus link bars or bus connection kits; input contactor, line filter, AC reactor or fuses; the connector kit or any control and interface cables; a battery; a braking resistor (an Alpha PSM is regenerative and does not normally use one); the internal wiring board or control board as spares; a rack, cabinet or mounting hardware; or documentation.
The module is enclosure-mounted and needs the ventilation clearances Fanuc specifies. Confirm your three-phase supply sits inside 200–230 V before energising. Observe DC bus polarity and torque the bus bars properly — a loose bus joint at this power level is a fire risk. Isolate and allow the DC bus capacitors to discharge fully before touching bus terminals; they hold a hazardous charge after the mains has been removed. Set the PSM and amplifier configuration in the CNC parameters to match the hardware actually fitted, and confirm the machine’s original PSM rating rather than assuming, since the 6087 family shares one physical style across several ratings.
A06B-6087-H115 and its -R, #R, #RS, #CE and #EM forms are the same PSM-15. Other H-numbers in the 6087 family are different power ratings and are not interchangeable — A06B-6087-H130 is the PSM-30 at 35 kW and 127 A, roughly double this module’s capacity. Fitting a PSM-15 where the machine was built with a PSM-30 will nuisance-trip under load, so treat these as related sizes, not equivalents.
