Heidenhain EXE 816, ID 207264-09, is an interpolation and digitizing electronics unit. Type: Interpolation and Digitizing Electronics. It amplifies the two sinusoidal scanning signals of a HEIDENHAIN encoder, interpolates them 25-fold and converts them into square-wave pulse trains for subsequent electronics such as an NC control.
Input Signals: two approximately sinusoidal encoder signals plus reference signal. Interpolation: 25-fold. Output Signals: TTL square-wave pulse trains Ua1, Ua2, reference pulse Ua0 and their inverted signals, with fault detection signal. Number of Outputs: 2, each on a 25-pin socket at the rear of the unit. Output Clock Frequency: adjustable by bridges on the clock board. Maximum Input Frequency: 10 kHz, limited by the clock frequency set. Outputs: momentary short circuit to 0 V permissible. Input Cable Length: max. 20 m. Output Cable Length: max. 50 m with HEIDENHAIN cable.
