EE is a Timken inch tapered roller series prefix. The trailing -3 is Timken precision Class 3, a tighter bore, outside diameter and running accuracy grade than standard tolerance.
The dynamic load rating is 179 kN and the static rating 320 kN. Class 3 buys reduced radial and axial runout, which matters where the bearing sets the position of a shaft rather than merely carrying it. Case carburized steel gives a hard raceway over a tough core, which suits shock loading better than a through-hardened ring of the same size.
