Together they form a complete single-row bearing on a 3.1496 in (80 mm) bore and a 7.874 in (200 mm) outside diameter, 2.0772 in (52.761 mm) assembled width.
The 98000 series sets the envelope. Timken writes single-row TS bearings as cone number followed by cup number, so 98316/98788 names the two halves of one bearing rather than two alternatives. Cone inner ring width B is 1.9375 in (49.213 mm) and cup outer ring width C is 1.375 in (34.925 mm); the assembled width T is less than their sum because the cone seats inside the cup raceway.
The e factor is 0.63, the K factor 0.92 and the Y factor 0.95.
