An RHP 7912-T-DUL-P4 super-precision angular contact ball bearing, supplied as a matched pair. Bore 60 mm, outside diameter 85 mm, width 13 mm per bearing, 26 mm across the assembled pair. Open on both faces, with a phenolic cage. The ISO equivalent envelope is 71912.
In the RHP scheme an absent angle letter denotes a 40° contact angle; a C would mean 15° and an E would mean 25°. T is the phenolic cage, DUL a universally matchable duplex pair at light preload, and P4 the ABEC 7 precision class. The carton also carries B7912-T-DUL-EP7, where EP7 is the same ABEC 7 class, and the Fafnir number MM9312WI-CR-DUL.
A 40° contact angle is the high-thrust end of the angular contact range. It carries substantially more axial load and gives greater axial stiffness than a 15° or 25° bearing in the same envelope, and in exchange accepts less radial load and a lower speed ceiling. Light preload offsets part of that speed penalty by keeping friction and heat generation low. Because the pair is preload-set rather than clearance-set, internal clearance is not applicable to it.
Two bearings, sold as a matched set. Universally matchable duplex construction allows the pair to be mounted back-to-back, face-to-face or in tandem, the ground faces producing the specified light preload when clamped.
The rings are ground as a set and stay together. Clamping is applied evenly against the ground faces so the designed preload is established without ring distortion.
The 71912 envelope is shared across makers, but the contact angle is what decides substitution here. SKF 71912 ACD/P4A DGA and FAG B71912-E-T-P4S-DUL occupy the same 60 x 85 x 13 mm envelope at a 25° contact angle, which makes them related sizes rather than interchanges. A matching replacement carries no angle letter in the RHP scheme, or the equivalent 40° designation in another maker’s scheme.
