A double-row spherical roller bearing, 50 mm bore x 90 mm outside diameter x 23 mm wide, in the ISO 222 dimension series. Two rows of barrel rollers share one spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring and roller set swivel bodily inside the outer ring. That self-aligning action absorbs shaft deflection and housing misalignment that would wreck a cylindrical roller or deep groove ball bearing of the same size, while carrying very heavy radial load and thrust in both directions.
This bearing carries SNR’s legacy suffix codes, which look unfamiliar but map cleanly onto the modern ones. Both forms are shown on this listing because 22210EAB33J30 and 22210EAW33C3 are the same bearing:
222 — double-row spherical roller bearing, dimension series 22.
10 — bore code for a 50 mm bore.
E — the increased-capacity Ultage design, heat-stabilised for operation to 200 °C.
A — pressed steel window cage, phosphated.
B33 — the legacy SNR code for the annular lubrication groove around the outer ring plus lubrication holes through it. It is the same feature as W33; SNR’s own catalogue prints both forms side by side.
J30 — the legacy SNR clearance code, equal to C3, radial internal clearance greater than Normal. The family runs J20 for C2, J30 for C3 and J40 for C4.
There is no K in the designation, so the bore is straight and cylindrical.
The Ultage E design is a genuine capacity uprate rather than a marketing suffix: longer rollers and a reworked internal geometry lift the load ratings above the older standard design in the same envelope, and the rings and rollers are dimensionally stabilised so the bearing holds its geometry at sustained high temperature. Combined with a phosphated pressed steel cage, which is good for roughly 200 °C, that makes this the right choice for hot-running gearboxes, fans, kiln and mill drives and dryer sections — duty where a polyamide-caged bearing would be capped at about 120 °C.
C3 clearance runs looser than Normal when cold, so working clearance survives the inner ring growing from a tight shaft interference fit and from operating heat. That pairing matters: a high-temperature bearing with Normal clearance will preload itself as it warms, run hotter still and fail early. Equally, fitting C3 where a machine relies on tight clearance for shaft location costs running accuracy and adds noise. Clearance is a fit decision, not a quality grade.
The outer-ring groove and holes let grease or oil be fed straight into the roller rows through the housing rather than migrating in from the ends. Relubrication is the biggest single influence on spherical roller bearing life, so this feature is worth having on anything greased in service — it does need a housing with a lubrication port aligned to the groove.
The straight bore means the bearing mounts directly onto a plain shaft seat. It is not a sleeve-mount bearing, which is the practical difference between it and a 22210K.

Sold as 1 Pc. One complete bearing: inner ring with both roller rows and cage, plus the outer ring. Spherical roller bearings ship as a non-separable assembly, so there is no cup, cone or separate ring to source. Because the bore is straight, no adapter sleeve, locknut or lockwasher is needed or included.
Mount on the inner ring, never through the rollers. Heat the bearing to about 80 – 100 °C above the shaft in an induction heater or clean oil bath rather than pressing it on cold, because a bearing this size takes a genuine interference fit. Seat the outer ring squarely in the housing bore and let it take up its own alignment before the assembly is drawn down — clamping the outer ring off-neutral during build throws away the self-aligning capability. Align the housing lubrication port with the outer-ring groove and purge the groove with grease before the first run.
The modern NTN-SNR designation for this exact bearing is 22210EAW33C3, and NTN’s equivalent is 22210EAW33C3 as well — SNR Roulements of Annecy was progressively acquired by NTN between 2007 and 2013, traded as NTN-SNR and is now NTN Europe, so the two catalogues have converged. Dimensionally equivalent straight-bore alternatives include SKF 22210 E, FAG 22210-E1-XL, NSK 22210EAE4, Timken 22210EJW33, RHP 22210EJW33 and Nachi 22210EXW33; specify C3 to match. Read the lubrication codes across brands as one feature under different letters: W33 on SKF, Timken, RHP and Nachi, E4 on NSK, S on FAG, D1 on NTN Japan and B33 on legacy SNR.
