A Dodge F2B-GT-012 mounted ball bearing unit — a two-bolt flange block for a 3/4 inch shaft. The cast iron housing bolts to a vertical face through two diagonally opposed holes. The ball insert is locked by a Grip-Tight tapered adapter that clamps the shaft concentrically through a full 360°, and the spherical outer seat lets the insert swivel to take up installation misalignment.
F2B = Dodge two-bolt flange housing. GT = Grip-Tight adapter-mounted locking system. 012 = 3/4 inch bore. 129303 is the Dodge/Baldor part number for this build.
Earlier copy described the locking method as a set screw. It is not — GT stands for Grip-Tight, a tapered adapter sleeve that clamps concentrically. This matters when you order: a Grip-Tight unit needs no flat or ground seat on the shaft and leaves no indentation, and it is set with a torque figure on the adapter, not by driving a screw into the shaft. Dodge’s setscrew ball insert families are SC and SXR/SXV.
F2B is a two-bolt flange. The Dodge four-bolt square flange is F4B and does not share the F2B bolt pattern; a P2B is a pillow block that mounts below the shaft on a horizontal base. Bolt count and pattern are part of the housing style, so check what your machine has.

Grip-Tight is worth choosing where the drive reverses or vibrates. A concentric grip holds in both directions of rotation, unlike an eccentric collar, and it does not fret a single point on the shaft the way a setscrew does. It also runs truer, so it suits higher-speed fan and blower shafts as well as slow conveyor work. Because the grip is on the whole circumference, ordinary cold-drawn shafting is acceptable — no machining needed.
Sold as one complete unit: cast iron flange housing with the ball insert and Grip-Tight adapter fitted. No mounting bolts included.
Position the unit on the shaft, then tighten the Grip-Tight adapter to the Dodge torque specification. Under-torque lets the insert creep; over-torque distorts the inner ring and shortens life. Check the insert still swivels in the spherical seat before final bolt-up, and shim the flange face so the housing is not pulled out of square. Purge the grease path with fresh compatible grease before running.
SealMaster SF, Rexnord KF, Hub City FB and NTN UCFL cover the same two-bolt flange role in a 3/4 inch bore, but flange face dimensions and bolt centres differ by maker — measure before treating any of them as a drop-in. Also note that a same-bore Dodge F2B-SC or F2B-SXV is a different part: same housing family, different locking method.
