Two-bolt and four-bolt cast iron blocks
Bolting a flange unit to a machine wall or bulkhead beats machining a housing bore, and it makes the next replacement a ten-minute job. Listings cover four-bolt square and round flange ball bearing units in inch bores from about 1-3/4 in to 3 in, cast iron housings, set screw and eccentric collar locking, self-aligning inserts, and expansion-type spherical roller flange blocks. Three dimensions decide the swap: shaft diameter, bolt hole pattern and spread, and locking method, since a set screw collar and an eccentric collar behave differently on the same shaft. Dodge and Link-Belt castings appear regularly when available. If only the bearing failed, an insert bearing may be all you need to buy.
