An NTN NU219G1C3 single-row cylindrical roller bearing, 95 mm bore, 170 mm outside diameter, 32 mm wide. Cylindrical rollers in line contact with the raceways give a far higher radial rating and greater stiffness than a ball bearing of the same section. The inner ring is plain and separable, so the bearing provides no axial location and the two rings mount independently.
NU is the design code: two integral guide ribs on the outer ring, a plain ribless inner ring, and no axial location in either direction. 2 and 19 give the ISO 02 dimension series and the bore code, 95 mm at five millimetres per unit. G1 is NTN’s machined high-strength brass cage. C3 is radial internal clearance greater than normal. The ISO cage code for the same construction is M1 or M, which is why NU219-E-M1-C3 appears as a cross-designation on this listing.
A machined brass cage is stronger and more shock-tolerant than a pressed steel cage, runs at higher temperature, and handles the centrifugal and lubricant-drag loads that appear at high speed on a 95 mm bore. That combination is why the brass-caged variant is the usual specification on large motors, gearbox intermediates and rolling-mill drives. The NU design is the floating position in a two-bearing shaft: it absorbs thermal growth by letting the roller set traverse the plain inner raceway, while a locating bearing elsewhere carries thrust. C3 clearance suits an inner ring running hotter than its housing or a tight interference fit on the shaft.
1 Pc, comprising the outer ring with its roller and brass cage assembly plus the matching plain inner ring. Open both faces, no seals or shields, no snap ring. No HJ angle ring and no loose flange ring, neither of which the NU design uses.
The rings mount separately: the inner ring goes onto the shaft, the outer ring assembly into the housing, and the two are brought together axially. Line contact makes cylindrical roller bearings sensitive to misalignment, so the shaft seat and housing bore want to be concentric and square within the machining tolerance for the class. Roller sets and inner rings are matched at manufacture and are not interchanged between bearings.
The ISO base number is NU219, so another maker’s NU219 M C3 or NU219-E-M1-C3 brass-caged non-locating cylindrical roller of the same 32 mm width is a genuine interchange. NJ219, NUP219 and NH219 are related sizes rather than substitutions, because each changes the axial location the bearing provides. NU219G1 without a clearance suffix is CN clearance, and NU219ET2X or a polyamide-caged variant changes the speed and temperature envelope.
