This is an MRC 109KS single-row deep groove ball bearing with a 45 mm bore, 75 mm outside diameter and 16 mm width, open on both faces. MRC is part of the SKF group. The balls run in deep circumferential grooves in both rings, which is the geometry that lets a deep groove bearing take axial load in either direction as well as radial load.
The MRC 109 number is the 45 mm bore size in MRC’s own deep groove series, corresponding to the ISO 6009 envelope of 45 x 75 x 16 mm. The C3 element specifies a radial internal clearance greater than normal. There is no closure suffix, so both faces are open, and there is no snap ring groove in the outer ring.
A deep groove ball bearing is the highest-speed and lowest-friction of the common bearing types for a given envelope, carrying radial load together with moderate axial load in both directions. C3 clearance gives more running room than normal clearance, which suits a tight interference fit on the shaft, a heated mount, or an application where the inner ring runs materially hotter than the outer ring and would otherwise lose its clearance in service. With both faces open, lubrication and sealing are handled by the housing rather than by the bearing.

Mounting force is applied through the ring being fitted and never transmitted across the balls from one ring to the other. An interference fit on the inner ring is normally made by even heating rather than by pressing.
Same-spec equivalents on the ISO number are SKF 6009/C3, FAG 6009-C3, NSK 6009C3, NTN 6009C3 and Koyo 6009C3, all 45 x 75 x 16 mm, open, C3. A 6009 without a clearance suffix is normal CN clearance, and a 6009-2RS1 or 6009-2Z adds seals or shields; those are related sizes rather than substitutions.
