A universally ground duplex pair of RHP super-precision angular contact ball bearings, 50 mm bore by 80 mm outside diameter by 16 mm wide per bearing. RHP is the legacy British precision marque, now supplied through NSK Europe, and this is a machine-tool spindle bearing rather than a general-purpose angular contact bearing.
7010 — angular contact ball bearing, 70 dimension series, 50 mm bore
C — 15° contact angle, reading the RHP/NSK scheme in which C is 15°, A5 is 25° and plain A is 30°
T — machined fabric-reinforced phenolic cage
DUL — duplex, universally ground, light preload; mountable DF, DB or DT with no shimming
P4 — ISO class 4, equivalent to ABEC 7. The alternate RHP number’s EP7 grade is the same accuracy band in RHP’s own scheme
The product description was pure eBay boilerplate — a dead store link, shipping promises and a we-buy-bearings solicitation, with nothing about the bearing. It has been replaced. No country of origin is claimed, because none is documented for the item in hand.
A 15° contact angle is the high-speed, low-friction choice: strong radially, stiff, cool-running, with modest axial capacity. Light preload keeps the heat and speed penalty small, which is why DUL sets dominate grinding and high-rpm milling heads while heavier grades go into roughing and hard-turning spindles. Preload classes must not be mixed within one arrangement. The machined phenolic cage is what lets the bearing turn fast — light, quiet, self-lubricating, and tolerant of a momentary lapse in oil supply — at the cost of a temperature ceiling.
No manufacturer-published basic dynamic or static load rating could be verified for this exact designation, so none is quoted rather than lifted from a differently caged or differently preloaded 7010. Boundary dimensions 50 x 80 x 16 mm per bearing are confirmed as the ISO 70-series values; a mounted pair stacks to 32 mm.
Sold as matched pairs of two bearings. Stock on this record reads 16 and it is not established whether that counts pairs or individual bearings, so no firm piece count is published — if you need a specific quantity, ask us for a shelf count first. A universally ground pair should never be split: the preload only exists as the set it was ground into.
The alternate RHP designation B7010X2TADULEP7 is the same bearing in RHP’s precision-grade scheme. Same-envelope 15° light-preload equivalents include NSK 7010CTYNDULP4, NTN 7010CGD2GLP4, SKF 7010 CDGA/P4A and Fafnir/Timken 2MM9110WI DUL. RHP precision numbers now route to NSK, which is the current supply path for a new-production replacement.
