Contact Angle: 30°. NSK’s middle angle. It carries roughly twice the thrust of a 15° bearing on the same envelope and still runs fast enough for grease lubrication at 6,700 rpm. The 50 x 80 x 16 mm envelope is ISO standard and every maker’s 7010 shares it. The contact angle decides substitution. A 7010A or 7010AW is 30°. A 7010C is 15°, a 7010B is 40°, and a 7010E in the RHP and Fafnir schemes is 25°. All three fit the same seats but change the thrust-to-speed balance, so check the angle before substituting. The SKF-scheme 7010ACD is a machined-cage bearing on the same envelope with a different contact angle.
