A FAG B7007-C-TPA-P4-UL super-precision angular contact ball bearing, 35 mm bore, 62 mm outside diameter, 14 mm wide. This is a machine-tool spindle bearing: raceways ground to super-precision running accuracy, a 15° contact angle, and ring faces prepared so the bearing can be stacked in matched sets. A single-row angular contact bearing carries thrust in one direction only, taking that thrust and its radial load through the same contact ellipse.
B7 is the FAG super-precision spindle bearing series. 0 and 07 give the ISO 70 light dimension series and the bore code, 35 mm at five millimetres per unit. C sets the contact angle at 15°; an E in that position would be 25°. TPA is the glass-fibre reinforced polyamide cage. P4 is ISO tolerance class 4, equivalent to ABEC 7. UL is the universal design at light preload.
A 15° contact angle runs faster and carries less thrust than a 25° bearing of the same size, because the shallower angle puts less of the ball load into the axial direction and generates less heat from ball spin at speed. That makes the C angle the choice on high-speed grinding and milling spindles where cutting thrust is modest. Light preload keeps heat generation and power draw down at the cost of some axial rigidity. The polyamide cage is light and quiet, tolerates shock and momentary lubricant starvation, and has a practical continuous ceiling of 120 °C, which is where the phenolic and machined brass cages take over.
The UL universal design means the ring faces are ground so any two bearings of this designation come together at light preload in a back-to-back (DB), face-to-face (DF) or tandem (DT) stack with no spacers or shims. DB gives the widest effective bearing spread and the best resistance to moment load, DF tolerates more misalignment, and DT doubles thrust capacity in one direction only.
1 Pc. Bearing only, open both faces, no seals or shields. Supplied without spacers, without a locknut and without a preload sleeve.
Super-precision spindle bearings are mounted clean, with the marked ring faces oriented to the intended arrangement, and pressed by an even axial force on the ring being fitted rather than through the balls. Shaft and housing seats want to be ground to a tolerance matching P4, since seat form error transfers directly into spindle runout at this accuracy level.
The genuine interchange is another maker’s 15° super-precision 35 x 62 x 14 spindle bearing at ABEC 7 with universal light preload: NSK 7007CTRDULP4, SKF 7007 CD/P4A, or the FAG HCB7007-C-T-P4S-UL in the hybrid-ceramic variant. B7007-E-TPA-P4-UL is a related size, not a substitution, because its 25° angle changes the thrust and speed balance. B7007-C-TPA-P4-UM changes the preload to medium, and a standard-precision 7007C is a different class of part.
