How the servo-assisted design works

A servo-assisted valve uses line pressure, not solenoid force, to lift the main diaphragm, so a 10 W coil switches a 10 mm bore against 10 bar — a duty that would need a far larger direct-acting solenoid and a far larger coil. On the Type 6213 the diaphragm is spring-coupled to the armature, and that spring link pulls the diaphragm open mechanically at the start of the stroke, so the valve opens from zero differential pressure upward rather than needing a minimum head across it. The body is also damped for low switching noise.
