What this part is

A double-row spherical roller bearing, 90 mm bore × 160 mm outside diameter × 40 mm width, in the 222 dimension series to DIN 635-2. Two rows of symmetrical barrel rollers run in a common concave spherical raceway in the outer ring, so the inner ring and roller set can swivel within the outer ring. That makes the bearing self-aligning: it absorbs shaft misalignment and housing misalignment without inducing edge loading, while carrying very high radial load and thrust in both axial directions.

Decoding the designation

222 — spherical roller bearing, 222 dimension series. The narrower of the two common heavy series at this bore, 40 mm wide against a 35 mm radial section.
18 — bore code for a 90 mm bore.
E — reinforced internal design, raising roller size and count for higher capacity in the same envelope.
J — two-piece pressed steel cage, window type, hardened, with slots on the cage face.
W33 — annular lubrication groove in the outer ring outside diameter with three radial feed holes into the roller path.
C3 — radial internal clearance greater than normal.
No K in the designation: this is a straight cylindrical bore, mounted directly on the shaft seat.

What these specs mean in practice

W33 turns the housing bore into a lubricant gallery: grease or oil fed through a housing port enters the groove and reaches both roller rows through the three holes, so relubrication happens without dismantling and reaches the rolling contact rather than only the bearing faces. C3 clearance is greater than normal, which is the usual choice where a press fit on the shaft, a heavy radial load or a hot inner ring would otherwise close the running clearance.

The hardened two-piece pressed steel window cage guides the rollers rather than being roller-guided at the raceway, which lowers internal friction and running torque, and the slotted cage face helps purge contaminant from the roller path. A straight bore fixes the bearing on a plain cylindrical shaft seat by interference fit, so no adapter or withdrawal sleeve is involved.

The bore seats on a plain cylindrical shaft journal to an interference fit, and the rings abut square shoulders inside the 105 mm shaft and 146 mm housing backing diameters given above. Mounting proceeds by heating the inner ring or by pressing on the inner ring face only, so load never passes through the roller set. The housing lubrication port aligns with the W33 groove; the groove is continuous around the outer ring, so rotational orientation of the outer ring is unconstrained.
