A Fanuc ID64C digital input module, ordered as A03B-0801-C123 — a 64-point, 24 V DC input module for the Fanuc I/O Unit that hangs off the PMC side of a Series 11 or Series 15 CNC control. It reads 64 field devices — limit switches, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, relay contacts — and presents them to the PMC ladder.
It is an input module only. There are no outputs on this card: it cannot drive a solenoid, a contactor or a lamp. The card carries the Fanuc board number A16B-1310-0141 internally.
A03B – Fanuc prefix for I/O unit assemblies and the modules that populate them. Distinct from the board-level A16B / A20B prefixes and from the A02B control-unit prefix.0801 – the I/O Unit family group. A03B-0801 modules serve the Fanuc I/O Unit used on the System 10, 11, 12 and Series 15 generation controls.C123 – the specific module within that family, which Fanuc also names by its functional designation.ID64C – the functional designation, and the field a buyer should actually work from. ID = digital input, 64 = 64 points, and the trailing letter identifies the module variant. Fanuc’s output modules use different mnemonics entirely — OD for digital output, AD for analog input, DA for analog output — so the designation tells you the direction of the module at a glance.

Sixty-four points on one card is dense, and the density is the reason to be careful: the field wiring lands on connectors rather than on individual screw terminals, so the connector and its wiring harness are as much a part of the installation as the module. Match the module designation exactly — ID64C and ID64D are different modules, and the letter is the only thing distinguishing them, so read what is printed on the card you are replacing rather than working from the A03B number alone.
Also confirm the addressing. The I/O Unit assigns module addresses by slot and by the unit’s configuration, and a 64-point module consumes a correspondingly large block. Dropping one into a different slot than the original will move every one of those 64 addresses in the PMC ladder.
Module only. This listing does not include the I/O Unit base or rack, the I/O Unit interface / power module, the 24 V DC field supply, the field connectors, connector housings, crimp pins or terminal blocks, the wiring harness or field cabling, the I/O Link cable to the CNC, mounting hardware, or any PMC ladder, address configuration or documentation. Fanuc I/O Unit modules connect to the field through connectors; those connectors are frequently what a buyer actually still needs, and they are not supplied here.
Sold as 1 piece — one input module. Takeout, tested, in an opened box.
Power down the I/O Unit and the field supply before removing or fitting a module; these are not hot-swappable. Handle the card by its edges with a wrist strap. Note the original slot position before removal, because slot position determines the PMC addresses. Verify the field supply is 24 V DC and correctly polarised before energising — a 64-point input card is an expensive way to discover a miswired supply. After fitting, prove a handful of inputs through the PMC diagnostic screen before running the machine.
Searchable equivalents of the same part: A03B-0801-C123, A03B0801C123, A03B 0801 C123, ID64C, ID-64-C, A16B-1310-0141, A16B13100141. Related but not interchangeable: A03B-0801-C127 (ID64D) and A03B-0801-C132 (ID32A) are different input modules in the same family — different variant or different point count. Modules with an OD, AD or DA designation are outputs or analog and are not substitutes for an input card.
