A Bosch Rexroth (Star) Ball Rail System runner block, part number 1623-614-10, in the size 65 slimline long steel version. The runner block is the carriage that rides on a Rexroth ball rail: four rows of balls run on precision-ground raceways in the block and the rail, so the block carries load in the radial, reverse-radial and both lateral directions.
1623 is the runner block series — slimline, long body. Within that series the three-digit group identifies size, accuracy class and preload class together, so 614 is not an arbitrary suffix: 1623-614-10 is size 65, accuracy class N (normal), preload class 0.02 C. The -10 is the version code for the sizes 45/55/65 table. Neighbouring numbers in the same block are different products, not options on the same product: 1623-694-10 is size 65 normal accuracy with preload clearance, 1623-624-10 is size 65 normal accuracy with 0.13 C heavy preload, and 1623-613-10 is the same 0.02 C preload in accuracy class H. Accuracy class and preload class change both price and suitability, so match them, do not substitute.
One runner block only. There is no ball rail, no rail cover strip, no end caps beyond what is fitted to the block, and no mounting hardware. On a Rexroth ball rail axis the rail is normally the larger part of the cost, and it must be ordered separately by length. A size 65 block will only run on a size 65 Rexroth ball rail.

Load capacities are stated for a travel life of 100 000 m. Rexroth’s own comparison note: to compare against figures quoted on a 50 000 m basis, multiply C, Mt and ML by 1.26.
Size 65 is the top of the slimline ball rail range and this is a heavy-machine block — 163 kN dynamic, 289 kN static, and nearly 10 kg of steel. The long body puts more balls under load per block, which raises moment capacity substantially over the standard-length block, so a single long block can often replace two short blocks in close contact and free up rail length. The 0.02 C preload is the light preload step: enough to remove clearance and hold repeatability under reversing load, without the friction penalty of the 0.08 C or 0.13 C classes. If the existing axis was built with preload clearance or with 0.13 C, swapping in this block changes the axis stiffness and the drag torque the motor sees.
Mounting is through four M16 threads from the table side; check the thread depth of 15 mm against your bolt length before assembly. The H2 dimension differs by 0.3 mm depending on whether the rail seal cover strip is fitted, which matters when you are shimming a table to an existing height. The grease connection can be taken at either end of the block on size 65. Do not run the block off the end of a rail without an end stop or a rail-mounted keeper — the balls are not retained once the block leaves the raceway.
Rexroth ball rail blocks are not cross-brand interchangeable. The rail profile, raceway geometry and ball diameter are specific to Rexroth Ball Rail Systems, so a THK, INA, NSK or Hiwin block of nominally similar size will not run on a Rexroth rail and this block will not run on theirs. Within Rexroth, the number is also written as R162361410 and the brand appears as both Star and Bosch Rexroth — Star was the linear motion brand Rexroth acquired, and older machines are labelled Star. Related sizes in the same slimline long series are 1623-514-10 (size 55) and 1623-414-10 (size 45); those are different parts, not substitutes.
