A Siemens 6SC6100-0AB00 — the AC feed drive printed-circuit board with voltage clamping for the Simodrive 610 / 210 drive system, in the 0.9/90 kW class. It is a plug-in electronics board inside the drive chassis, handling the DC-link voltage-clamping function that protects the link against regenerative overvoltage during deceleration. It is a board-level part, not a complete drive and not a power module.
6SC61 — Siemens Simodrive 610 AC feed drive family (the 6RB2 prefix, by contrast, is the Simodrive 210 DC family)00 — electronics / board group0AB00 — the AC feed drive PCB with voltage clamping, 0.9/90 kW class, supplied without pulsed resistor or installation material462-010.9001.00 — the Siemens internal drawing number silkscreened on the board; this is the number to match against the board already in the machine
Type: AC feed drive PCB with voltage clamping (Spannungsbegrenzung)Drive system: Simodrive 610 / 210Power class: 0.9 / 90 kWSupplied without: pulsed (braking) resistor and installation material — Siemens’s own configuration note for this order numberInternal drawing number: 462-010.9001.00Form: plug-in PCB within the Simodrive drive chassisOrigin: Germany (Siemens nameplate)
Voltage clamping is what keeps the DC link inside its limit when the feed axes regenerate — on a machine tool that is every rapid deceleration. If the clamping path is not intact, the drive will trip on link overvoltage during deceleration rather than under load, which is the symptom that sends people looking at the wrong board. Because this order number is the version supplied without the pulsed resistor, the resistor has to exist elsewhere in the cabinet or be added; the board alone cannot dissipate the returned energy.
Braking: what you still need:
The pulsed resistor is not included and is not part of this order number. Neither is the installation material (mounting hardware and wiring kit) that a complete Siemens supply would have carried.
Match both the order number and the 462-series drawing number: Siemens revised these boards over the life of the 610/210 platform and drawing revisions are not always interchangeable within a chassis. Handle as static-sensitive and confirm the drive is fully discharged before working in the DC-link area.
Board only. No pulsed / braking resistor, no installation material or mounting hardware, no drive chassis or rack, no power module, no power supply or infeed module, no control / regulator board, no ribbon or signal cables, no connector kits or terminal boards, no motor and no documentation.
Sold as one board.
6SC6100-0AB00 and 6SC61000AB00 are the same part; the 462-010.9001.00 drawing number identifies the same board. Other 6SC6100 tails are genuinely different boards — the 0NA and 0SA groups are analogue control and feed-drive circuit boards, and the 0GA / 0GB group covers the power supply and voltage-clamping modules. 6RB2100 numbers belong to the Simodrive 210 DC family and are not substitutes despite the shared 462 drawing scheme.
