What this part is

A GE Fanuc Series 90-30 solenoid valve output module, IC693MDL760 — and it is a genuinely unusual card, because it plumbs as well as wires. It provides:

11 pneumatic outputs. Each one has its own internal 3-way solenoid-actuated valve and its own air fitting on the front panel. When the PLC turns an output on, that internal valve connects your supplied pressure source to the corresponding front-panel fitting.5 sourcing 24 V DC electrical outputs, on the module’s “DC Outputs” connector.

In other words the air switching happens inside the module. You pipe compressed air in and pilot lines out, instead of wiring out to a separate valve bank. It is an output module only — there are no inputs on this card.

What these specs mean in practice

Watch the 100 psi ceiling. That is the maximum pressure you may present to the module. Plenty of shop air headers run higher than that, so a regulator upstream of the module is not optional. Air must also be clean and dry — these are small internal pilot valves, and water or scale will find them long before it bothers the rest of your pneumatics.

The solenoid power is external and separate. The 24 V DC that actuates the internal valves does not come from the backplane; you supply it to the DC Outputs connector. If the module goes in and nothing moves, that supply is the first thing to check.

Count the outputs the right way. Eleven pneumatic and five electrical is not sixteen interchangeable points — they are two different kinds of output on one card. Map them deliberately in the ladder, and do not plan a machine around sixteen air outputs.

Because the pneumatic outputs are only pilot-capacity 3-way valves, they are intended to pilot larger valves or drive small actuators directly. Size the downstream actuator to the module’s flow, not to your main air line.

Installation and setup notes

Isolate both the electrical supply and the air supply, and bleed the air down, before removing or fitting the module. Handle the card by its edges with a wrist strap. Set a regulator to keep supply pressure at or below 100 psi and fit filtration ahead of it. Cap or plug any unused front-panel fittings. On first commissioning, prove each pneumatic output individually with the downstream actuators disconnected — an air output that fires unexpectedly moves machinery, so treat it with the same respect as an electrical output driving a motor. Note the slot position, because Series 90-30 addressing follows it.

Interchange guidance

Other revision letters of IC693MDL760 are the same module at a different revision. Earlier copy attributed the module to Fanuc. It is a GE Fanuc Automation Series 90-30 product; the IC prefix belongs to GE Fanuc, not to Fanuc Ltd, and the two catalogues are entirely separate.
