RHP 7006ETDUMP5 super precision angular contact ball bearing in the ISO 10 dimension series. Bore 30 mm, outside diameter 55 mm, width 13 mm. Rings and balls are carbon chrome bearing steel to SAE 52100, through hardened and heat treated for dimensional stability.
In the RHP scheme: 7 is a single row angular contact ball bearing, 0 the ISO 10 dimension series, 06 a 30 mm bore code, E a 25° contact angle, T an outer-ring-guided laminated phenolic cage, DU a duplex universal pair, M medium preload and P5 the precision grade, equivalent to ABEC 5. The carton repeats the bearing in two further schemes, B7006X3TADUMEP5 in the RHP B-series and 3MM9106WICRDUM in the Fafnir scheme. X3 and 3MM both denote 25°, agreeing with the E, and the Fafnir 9100WI series maps to the ISO 70 series, so 9106 is a 7006. EP5 in the British Standard BS292 scheme is RHP P5.
A 25° contact angle carries more thrust and less speed than a 15° bearing in the same envelope, which is why the 25° execution is chosen where axial rigidity matters more than maximum rev/min. Basic dynamic radial load rating is 14.4 kN and basic static radial load rating is 9.8 kN. Limiting speed for a single bearing under spring preload is 37 000 rev/min on oil/air and 22 900 rev/min on grease; a medium-preloaded back-to-back pair derates by a factor of 0.60 to 22 200 and 13 700 rev/min. A medium-preloaded pair develops 290 N of axial preload at an axial stiffness of 129 N/µm, roughly 45 percent stiffer than the light grade. The laminated phenolic cage is rated to a maximum operating temperature of 120 °C.
One bearing. The -1/2PR suffix denotes one half of a DUM duplex universal pair. Universal face control means the inner and outer rings are the same width and the faces are ground at manufacture to the medium preload value, so two bearings of this designation clamp up back-to-back or face-to-face to that preload without custom spacers, or run in tandem sharing load equally. The matching half is a second 7006ETDUMP5.
The high point of radial runout is marked by a burnished spot on the inner ring face and by a V line on the outer ring diameter; the V also indicates the direction of the contact angle, and aligning the marks minimises assembled runout. Shaft abutment diameter is 36 mm and the housing abutment runs 49 mm minimum to 50 mm maximum. Corner radii are 1.0 mm on the bore and 0.6 mm on the outside diameter. Effective load centre is 16.4 mm. Internal free volume is 5.3 cm³ and the lubrication jet pitch circle is 39.5 mm. A light interference fit on the shaft with a transition fit in the housing suits a locating position with a rotating inner ring.
B7006X3TADUMEP5 and Fafnir 3MM9106WICRDUM are the carton-printed equivalents of this exact execution. SKF 7006 ACD/P5 and FAG B7006-E-T-P5 match on envelope, 25° contact angle, phenolic cage and P5 precision class. NSK 7006 A5 gives the 25° angle in the same envelope but states no cage material or precision class, so it identifies a family rather than this execution. The 7006C and 7006A5 15° executions share the 30 x 55 x 13 mm envelope at a different contact angle and are a related size rather than an interchange, as are the EL, L and H preload grades.
