NSK 23034CDKE4C4 double-row spherical roller bearing, 170 mm bore × 260 mm outside diameter × 67 mm width. Series: 23000. Bore Type: tapered, 1:12. Internal Clearance: C4. Open, with a lubrication groove and feed holes in the outer ring.
Base Number: 23034. CD: pressed steel cage with a floating guide ring. K: tapered bore, taper 1:12. E4: lubrication groove and three oil holes in the outer ring, the NSK equivalent of a W33 outer ring. C4: internal clearance, greater than C3. The number is also written 23034 CD K E4 C4, 23034CDK E4C4 and 23034K.
A double-row spherical roller bearing carries very high radial load, takes thrust in both directions, and accommodates shaft misalignment relative to the housing. Basic Dynamic Load Rating: 795 kN. Basic Static Load Rating: 1,090 kN. Limiting Speed: 1,200 rpm on grease, 1,600 rpm in an oil bath. Mass: 13 kg. C4 clearance leaves more room for thermal growth and for the interference taken up when a tapered bore is driven onto its seat. Calculation factors: e 0.23, Y2 4.3, Y3 2.9, Y0 2.8.
The 1:12 tapered bore mounts on an adapter sleeve. The matching NSK parts are the H3034 adapter sleeve and the AH3034 withdrawal sleeve, each a separate item. Driving the bearing further up the taper reduces the internal clearance, which is how the running clearance is set on a tapered-bore mounting.
Diameter of Shaft Abutment: 182 to 191 mm. Diameter of Housing Abutment: 233 to 248 mm. The outer-ring groove and holes align with a housing lubrication port for relubrication in service.
SKF 23034 CCK/C4W33 and FAG 23034-E1-K-C4 are tapered-bore 23034 bearings in C4 clearance and the same 170 x 260 x 67 mm size. A 23034CDE4C4 has a straight bore, not a tapered one.
