This record contains a genuine internal contradiction that we have not been able to resolve from paperwork, and we would rather say so than pick an answer.

The designation is 7016. Under ISO, a 7016 is 80 mm bore by 125 mm outside diameter by 22 mm wide. But the listing’s own dimensions read 75 x 115 x 20 mm, and that is the ISO envelope for a 7015, one size down. Both numbers cannot be right, and the difference is a whole bearing size — enough to make the part useless in the wrong housing.

We have therefore published the manufacturer’s designation as primary and stated no bore, outside diameter or width as fact. Before ordering, ask us to measure the bearing and read the ring etching, and we will confirm which of the two it is in writing. If your requirement is specifically a 7015 or specifically a 7016, tell us which and we will check against that.

What these specs mean in practice

A 15° contact angle is the speed-favouring choice — high radial stiffness, low friction, low heat, modest axial capacity. Light preload keeps the heat and speed penalty small, the usual specification for grinding and high-rpm milling spindles. Because this is a universal single rather than a matched pair, you can build it into a DF, DB or DT stack with other bearings of the same designation, but every bearing in that stack must be the same preload class or the arrangement has no defined preload at all. The machined phenolic cage is what makes high speed workable: light, quiet, self-lubricating, tolerant of a momentary lubricant lapse, and limited on operating temperature in exchange.
