Coil voltage and current ratings come first
Welded contacts and burnt-out coils are the usual reason a contactor comes out, and its replacement has to carry the same coil voltage plus matching AC-3 and AC-1 current ratings, pole count and auxiliary contact block. Both IEC and NEMA styles appear, from Telemecanique LC1-D and Eaton DILM frames to three-pole units with electronic coils and a PLC interface.
Frame size also governs whether existing bus bar and wire lugs still reach, so compare terminal spacing in the photographs of the actual unit.
