Regenerative — returns braking energy to the mains, so no braking resistor is normally used. 7-segment alarm display on front panel. Supplied missing plastic covers. PSM-15 (A06B-6087-H115) is the 17.5 kW related size, not an equivalent. |

Fanuc A06B-6087-H130, the Alpha series Power Supply Module model PSM-30. In a Fanuc Alpha drive rack this is the front-end converter, not a servo amplifier. It rectifies incoming three-phase mains into the common DC bus, and supplies the 24 V DC control voltage, that the servo amplifier modules (SVM) and spindle amplifier modules (SPM) beside it draw from. The amplifiers turn that DC into motor current; the PSM does not drive a motor itself.

Suffixed forms of this number exist and mean build or service history rather than a different rating: -R and #R denote a unit refurbished by Fanuc, and #RS, #A, #CE and #EM appear on regional and CE builds. All are the same PSM-30.

This is a tested takeout unit and it is missing plastics: one or more of the moulded covers or trim pieces is absent, as shown in the photographs. The electrical assembly is complete and the unit has been tested; what is short is cosmetic and guarding plastic. Two practical consequences worth weighing before you order: exposed live parts need to be accounted for in a cabinet that people open, and if you want the module to look and guard like the original you will need to source the plastic covers separately. If the module is going into an enclosed cabinet as a working spare, this generally does not matter.
35 kW puts the PSM-30 at the larger end of the Alpha PSM range — typical duty is a medium to large machining centre or lathe where a spindle amplifier and several axis amplifiers all hang off one DC bus. Sizing is the thing to get right: the PSM must be rated for the sum of what the amplifiers on the bus draw at the same time, not for any single one. Fitting a smaller PSM than the machine was built with will trip on heavy simultaneous acceleration even though everything appears correctly wired.
The 127 A figure is input current at 200 V, so size upstream protection and cabling for that. The input is three phase only; there is no single-phase option.
The Alpha PSM is a regenerative front end: on deceleration the amplifiers push energy back into the DC bus and the PSM returns it to the mains rather than dissipating it in a resistor. That is why an Alpha system generally carries no braking resistor, and why supply quality matters — the module needs a healthy three-phase mains to regenerate into.
The 7-segment display is the first diagnostic stop. Read the alarm code there against the Alpha power module alarm list before condemning a PSM; many apparent PSM faults are bus, amplifier or supply-side problems that the PSM is merely reporting.
Power supply module only, as pictured, less the missing plastics noted above. Not included: servo amplifier modules (SVM) or spindle amplifier modules (SPM); DC bus link bars or bus connection kits; input contactor, line filter, AC reactor or fuses; connector kit or any control and interface cables; a battery; a braking resistor (an Alpha PSM is regenerative and does not normally use one); a rack, cabinet or mounting hardware; or documentation.
The module is enclosure-mounted and needs the ventilation clearances Fanuc specifies — a 35 kW converter is normally the largest thermal load in the cabinet. Confirm the three-phase supply is inside 200–230 V before energising; a 400 V supply needs a different module or a transformer. Observe DC bus polarity and torque the bus bars correctly, since a loose joint at this power level is a fire risk. Isolate and let the DC bus capacitors discharge fully before touching bus terminals — they hold a hazardous charge after the mains is removed, and with plastics missing there is less between you and them. Set the PSM and amplifier configuration in the CNC parameters to match the hardware actually fitted.
A06B-6087-H130 and its -R, #R, #RS, #CE and #EM forms are the same PSM-30. Other H-numbers in the 6087 family are different power ratings and are not interchangeable — A06B-6087-H115 is the PSM-15 at 17.5 kW and 63 A, roughly half this module’s capacity, making it a related size rather than an equivalent. Match the PSM rating to the machine’s original build. Also searched as A06B6087H130, A06B 6087 H130, A06B-6087-H130R, PSM-30, PSM30, Fanuc Alpha PSM 35kW, and GE Fanuc A06B-6087-H130.
