The record claimed Italian manufacture. RHP is a British marque and no origin marking is documented on the item, so no country of origin is claimed here. The entire description was eBay boilerplate — dead store link, shipping promises, we-buy-bearings copy — with no product information in it, and has been replaced.
W33 is the difference between a bearing you replace and a bearing you maintain. The groove and holes let grease injected at the housing reach the rollers directly instead of piling up against the outer ring face, so a scheduled relubrication actually refreshes the film where the load is. It only works if the housing has a matching feed passage lined up with the groove — in a plain housing with no lubrication port, a W33 bearing simply runs as an ordinary one and you have paid for a feature you cannot use. Conversely, if your housing is drilled for through-lubrication and you fit a non-W33 bearing, the grease has nowhere to go.
Spherical rollers go where the duty is heavy, dirty and imperfectly aligned: conveyor pulleys, crushers, screens, fans, paper machinery, gearbox shafts. Their self-aligning geometry absorbs shaft deflection and out-of-line housings that would edge-load a cylindrical roller bearing. Internal clearance is not stated on this designation, so it should be read as Normal unless a C3 or C4 marking appears on the bearing — worth confirming, because clearance class is a design specification and not interchangeable.
