A Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems HBL430MI7W Circuit-Lock mechanically interlocked receptacle: an IEC pin and sleeve female receptacle combined with a disconnect switch in one enclosure, mechanically interlocked so the two cannot be operated independently. It is rated 30 A at 480 V AC three-phase delta, in a 3-pole 4-wire grounding configuration, and it is the unfused version of the Circuit-Lock interlock.
Hubbell catalogues this device as HBL430MI7W and it also appears as 430MI7W with the HBL brand prefix dropped. Within that number the leading 4 marks the four-wire configuration, 30 is the ampere rating, MI denotes the mechanical interlock, and 7W identifies the IEC 60309 pin-and-sleeve configuration for 480 V three-phase delta. An F inserted before the 7W, as in HBL430MIF7W, marks the fused version of the same device — this one is unfused.
The mechanical interlock is the whole point of the device. The plug cannot be inserted or withdrawn while the switch is closed, and the switch cannot be closed until the plug is fully seated. That sequence means the connection is always made and broken dead, so no arc forms across the pins. Pin and sleeve contacts are not rated to make or break load current, and an interlocked receptacle is what allows them to be used on a load that may be energised.
Three-phase delta at 480 V with three poles and a ground, and no neutral, is the configuration used for motor and machine loads where no single-phase 277 V supply is needed. The 15 hp figure states the motor load the switch can handle at that voltage, which is the rating that decides suitability rather than the ampere figure alone.
The IP67 rating covers dust ingress and temporary immersion, and the NEMA 4X and NEMA 12 ratings cover hosedown and corrosion outdoors and dust and dripping liquids indoors. Together they suit wash-down areas, outdoor plant and portable equipment connections where a standard receptacle would not survive.

Sold as 1 Pc — one interlocked receptacle assembly. The mating plug is not included, and no fuses are fitted because this is the unfused version.
The assembly mounts to a wall or a machine frame and terminates on screw terminals, and it is suited to non-metallic enclosures and metallic conduit. Supply enters the switch side and the receptacle presents the IEC 60309 pin pattern for 480 V three-phase delta, so only a plug of that same configuration and voltage keying will mate. The interlock mechanism is factory set and requires no adjustment.
The HBL430MIF7W is the fused version of this same 30 A, 480 V three-phase interlocked receptacle; it takes fuse links and this one does not, so it is a related article rather than an equivalent. Hubbell builds the Circuit-Lock pin and sleeve interlock range in 30, 60 and 100 A sizes, and the ampere size and the IEC configuration suffix both have to match for a device to be a substitute. The HBL30MIRS is a replacement switch part for 30 A interlocks rather than a complete device. A direct replacement matches catalogue number HBL430MI7W.
