The soft start section ramps motor voltage to cut starting current peaks and torque shock on belts, gears and couplings. The brake section injects a controlled direct current into the motor windings after stop, producing a standing field that decelerates flywheel masses without mechanical brake wear. Typical duty: woodworking machines, saws, grinders, centrifuges, mixers and screening machines.
