MGC1 is the module name: Maestro Graphic Controller, first generation. Maestro is B&R’s CNC and machine control platform built on the OS-9/68000 real-time operating system. The system is assembled from single-function boards in one rack: the MGC1 handles graphics, the MAC1 axis controller board (HCMAC1-0, HCMAC1-1) handles servo axis control, and the MCO1 coprocessor board (HCMCO1-0) adds OS-9/68000 processing capacity. The MGC1 is the board that drives the operator display on that platform.
