A GE Fanuc Series One I/O Link Remote module, IC610CCM111 — the receiver half of a Series One remote I/O link. It sits in a remote Series One I/O rack and communicates back to a matching Link Local module fitted at the CPU end, so that a rack of I/O can be located away from the processor and wired to the machine locally instead of dragging every field wire back to the panel.
It is a communications module, not a CPU and not an I/O module: it has no processor to run a ladder program and no input or output points of its own. Documented in GE Fanuc manual GEK-90507, Series One Remote I/O.
IC: GE Fanuc Automation industrial controls prefix.
610: the Series One PLC family. Every IC610 number belongs to Series One; the neighbouring GE Fanuc platforms have their own groups — IC600 is Series Six, IC630 is Series Three, IC693 is Series 90-30 and IC697 is Series 90-70. None of them interchange.
CCM: the module class, communications and computer-interface modules. Series One I/O modules by contrast carry MDL, and CPUs carry CPU.
111: the specific module, here the I/O Link Remote (receiver) end. The complementary Link Local module at the CPU end is IC610CCM110 — a different number and not a substitute.
E: the hardware revision letter. A revision suffix, not a different product; revisions of the same base number are normally interchangeable.
A remote I/O link is built from two different modules: an IC610CCM110 Link Local at the processor and an IC610CCM111 Link Remote at each remote rack. Two Remotes will not talk to each other, so the end of the link that has failed is the number to order.
Series One is a fully legacy platform, and the whole link is planned as a set: the remote rack, its power supply, the link cable and the I/O modules are all Series One parts. Nothing from Series Three, Series Six or the Series 90 families will substitute.
Function: Series One I/O Link Remote module, receiver end of a remote I/O link.
Platform: GE Fanuc Series One programmable controller.
Complementary module: IC610CCM110 Link Local, at the CPU end.
Reference manual: GEK-90507, Series One Remote I/O.
Rack space: occupies one slot in a Series One rack.
Sold as 1 piece — one Link Remote module, the receiver end of a Series One remote I/O link. A working remote I/O system is built from this module, an IC610CCM110 Link Local module at the CPU end, and the link cable between them.
Searchable equivalents of the same part: IC610CCM111E, IC610CCM111, IC610-CCM-111, IC610 CCM 111, IC610CCM111-E. Other revision letters of IC610CCM111 are the same module at a different revision. IC610CCM110 is the Link Local module and is not an interchange — it is the other end of the same link. IC610CCM105 is a different Series One communications module again.
