A Timken 541162 single-row tapered roller bearing cup — the outer race, with one ground tapered raceway. Inch (imperial) series, TS single-row configuration. Cup only. The matching cone is the Timken EE540502.
541162 is the cup number in Timken’s 5411xx inch cup block. The cone carries its own separate number, and the two written together as EE540502/541162 form the TS assembly designation. Cup numbers in this range are large-bore heavy-industrial sizes.
The cup is the housing-side half of the bearing: its raceway angle and roller path are ground to match the cone, so the pair is defined by the assembly number rather than by either ring alone. It presses into the housing bore and carries radial load together with thrust in one direction. At 11.6250 in outside diameter with a 2.2500 in width it is a heavy-section race for mill, mining and large gearbox service.
