A Timken EE470073 single-row tapered roller bearing cone — the inner ring with its tapered rollers and cage retained as one unit. Inch (imperial) series, TS single-row configuration. Cone only. The matching cups are the Timken 470130, 470132 and 470133.
The EE prefix marks Timken’s extra-extra-large inch tapered series. 470073 is the cone number; the cup carries its own separate number in the 4701xx block, and the cone/cup pair together forms the assembly designation, written as EE470073/470132.
A tapered roller geometry carries heavy radial load and thrust in one direction through the same raceway, which is why it is used in wheel ends, mill rolls, gearbox pinions and large trunnions.
