A Koyo 47687 tapered roller bearing cone — the inner ring complete with its tapered rollers and cage, for a 3-1/4 inch (82.550 mm) shaft. This is one half of a Type TS single-row tapered roller bearing.
Cone only. A tapered roller cone does not include its cup and cannot run without one. The mating cup for a 47687 is a 47620. Order both if you need the pair; complete sets can be supplied on request. Do not mate this cone with a cup outside its published pairing — the raceway angle and roller path are matched between the two halves.
47687 is the cone number in the 47600 inch series; 47620 is its cup. The pair is quoted as 47687/47620. 47687 is an industry-standard number, so Koyo, Timken, NTN and others supply it to the same boundary dimensions. A 476xx-90xxx number would be a complete pre-set assembly — this is not one of those.

Ratings are the published figures for the complete assembly, given here so you can size the position rather than as a claim about a cone alone.
This is a heavy-duty 3-1/4 inch position — 48,100 lbf C1 — the sort found on gearbox output shafts, conveyor head and tail pulleys and axle ends. The K factor of 1.44 is a moderately shallow ratio, so capacity is biased toward radial load rather than thrust.
Compare it with the 655-series 663 cone, which shares the same 3.2500 in bore but is wider at 1.6250 in and carries more load. Same shaft, different envelope — the axial space in your housing decides which one you need, so do not treat them as alternatives on bore alone.
Because a taper takes thrust in one direction only, these are almost always mounted in opposing pairs and adjusted at assembly to set endplay or preload. Replace cone and cup together; a new cone against a used cup will not share the same wear pattern.
Sold as 1 pc — one cone. No cup, no spacer, no seal.
Heat or press the cone on square with the load taken on the inner ring backface only, never through the rollers. Fit the 47620 cup driving on the cup face. Set the opposed pair to the endplay or preload the equipment maker specifies, rotating the assembly as you adjust so the rollers seat against the large rib. Ensure lubricant reaches the large end of the rollers, which is the direction a taper pumps oil.
47687 is an industry-standard cone number shared by Koyo, Timken, NTN, SKF and Bower / BCA, all pairing with a 47620 cup. Related, not interchangeable: 47686 is the neighbouring cone in the same series, a -3, *3 or #3 suffix denotes a Class 3 precision cone, a T-suffix version has a tapered bore, and a 47620D would be a double cup for a two-row arrangement.
