NSK 22224EAE4 double-row spherical roller bearing with a straight cylindrical bore. Two rows of barrel rollers run on a common spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring and roller set swivel inside the outer ring.
222 denotes a double-row spherical roller bearing, dimension series 22. 24 denotes the bore code, 24 times 5 giving a 120 mm bore. EA denotes the NSK enhanced-capacity internal design. E4 denotes a lubrication groove in the outer ring with three radial holes, the NSK form of W33. The absence of a K means a straight cylindrical bore. The absence of a clearance suffix means normal radial internal clearance, CN.
The spherical outer raceway takes up static and dynamic misalignment between shaft and housing, and the double-row roller set carries radial load plus thrust in both directions. The EA internal design raises capacity within the same 120 x 215 x 58 mm envelope. A straight bore mounts directly on a cylindrical shaft seat, so mounted clearance is set by the shaft interference fit rather than by drive-up on a taper.

The straight bore goes onto a cylindrical shaft seat with an interference fit, which absorbs part of the radial internal clearance once mounted. The outer ring seats in a housing bore whose relubrication port aligns with the E4 groove. Outer-ring fit is normally looser than the inner so that the housing can take up thermal growth.
Same-spec straight-bore equivalents in other schemes: SKF 22224 E/W33, FAG 22224-E1-XL-W33, Timken 22224EJW33. Tapered-bore K forms need an adapter sleeve and are related sizes in the same envelope, not interchanges; likewise C3 and C4 clearance variants.
