Decoding the designation

2MM sets a 15° contact angle in the Fafnir WI super-precision scheme. The V and the HX identify the hybrid-ceramic execution, marked HY-CERAMIC on the carton and equivalent to HC in the SKF scheme. What these specs mean in practice

Silicon nitride balls weigh about 40 per cent of steel balls of the same diameter, so centrifugal loading and cage forces fall sharply at speed.
