Sleeve and spherical designs, no rolling elements
No balls, no rollers, no cage means nothing to skid or brinell when a joint takes shock load, holds still under weight, or runs on marginal lubrication. Current listings cover RBC B-series inch sleeve bearings around 3 in bore, radial spherical plain bearings at 70x105x49 mm, and IKO SBB-series sealed units near 3-3/4 in bore. Selection comes down to bore, outside diameter, width, and whether the design has to accommodate oscillation or misalignment; sealed builds hold grease longer in dirty service. Confirm mounting fits as well, since press practice differs from rolling element work. Threaded versions of the same joint are listed as rod end bearings.
