Decoding the designation

The TS3 prefix is NTN’s dimension-stabilised heat treatment for elevated-temperature service to 200 °C. 22210 is the ISO basic number: 222 dimension series, bore code 10 for a 50 mm bore. The C denotes the pressed steel cage design. C4 is the internal clearance class, greater than C3 and well above normal. No K appears in the designation, so the bore is straight rather than 1:12 tapered. No W33 appears, so the outer ring has no lubrication groove or feed holes.
