Steel rings running hybrid silicon nitride ceramic balls in a phenolic outer-land-riding cage, open on both faces, supplied as a universally ground triplex set of three.
The 2MM prefix is the Fafnir super-precision family at a 15° contact angle. In the 9100 series the last two digits are the bore code, so 14 is 70 mm, and the envelope corresponds to an ISO 7014. HX marks the hybrid ball complement. CR is the phenolic cage that rides on the outer ring land. TUL breaks down as T for triplex, U for universally ground and L for light preload, which is why three bearings make one set.
A 15° contact angle favours speed and radial stiffness over thrust capacity; a 25° bearing in the same envelope reverses that trade.
