Single-row imperial tapered roller bearing supplied as a matched cone-and-cup set, 1-3/8 in bore by 2.717 in outside diameter with an assembled width of 0.7813 in. Cone 14137A runs in cup 14276, the same envelope used across the whole 14100 family, so it drops into any housing already bored for that series. Class 0 (standard) tolerance, steel construction, for shafts carrying combined radial and one-direction thrust load.

This is a Timken single-row tapered roller bearing supplied as a factory cone-and-cup set: cone (inner ring with rollers and cage) 14137A running in cup (outer ring) 14276. Tapered roller bearings carry radial load and thrust in one direction simultaneously, which is why they dominate wheel ends, gearbox shafts and any application where a shaft is loaded off-axis. Because the cone and cup are separable, the two rings can be mounted in different components and brought together on assembly — a real advantage on split housings and press-fit shafts.
14137A — the cone. The A denotes the current design revision of the 14137 cone.14276 — the mating cup for the 14100 family at this envelope.-90029 — a Timken assembly number. Numbers in the 9xxxx range identify a factory-supplied kit rather than a loose component, so this listing is the cone and the cup together, not one ring on its own.Class 0 — standard ABEC/RBEC tolerance class, the normal precision grade for industrial tapered roller bearings.

Ratings above are published for the 14137A/14276 and 14138A/14276 assemblies, which share one envelope and one rating set.
Two dynamic ratings get quoted for Timken tapered bearings and they are not interchangeable. C1 is referenced to one million revolutions and is the figure that matches ISO practice for comparing against a metric bearing. C90 is referenced to 90 million revolutions and is the figure Timken’s own life calculations use. Comparing a competitor’s ISO C against Timken’s C90 makes the Timken bearing look four times weaker than it is. Compare C1 to C1.
The separate thrust rating, Ca90 at 9,260 N, matters because a tapered roller bearing only takes thrust in one direction. The usual arrangement is two bearings opposed — back-to-back or face-to-face — so that between them they hold the shaft both ways and can be set to a specified endplay or preload. A single tapered bearing left to take reversing thrust will unload, skid its rollers and fail early.
One set in stock: one cone and one mating cup. If your application uses an opposed pair you need two sets, and mounting them means setting endplay or preload on assembly rather than simply tightening the nut.
Cones normally take an interference fit on the shaft and cups a tighter-than-slip fit in the housing; consult the fitting practice for your load class rather than assuming. Never press on a cone through its rollers — apply force to the ring face. Because the assembled width is a nominal 0.7813 in and endplay is set at assembly, the shoulder-to-shoulder distance in your housing is the dimension that governs the final setting, not the bearing width.
Search forms include 14137A-90029, 14137A/14276, 14137A 14276, 14137A-14276, and the individual components 14137A and 14276. The 14138A cone shares the same 14276 cup and the same boundary dimensions, so a machine built around 14138A/14276 accepts this envelope — but match the cone number if your parts list specifies one, because cone geometry differs between 14137A and 14138A. Cross-brand equivalents exist at this envelope from NTN, Koyo, NSK and SKF under the same industry part numbers, since the 14100 series is an established inch-series standard rather than a Timken-proprietary design.
